Big Discounts on Komodo Dancer

June 10, 2010

While I’ve been singing the praises of North Sulawesi a lot lately, I still think my Komodo experience last year may well have been the most fun I’ve had diving, so far. Now comes news that Sunrise Divers has discounted rates on the luxury Komodo Dancer for most of their sailing dates for the remainder of 2010. Discounts of around $500 per person are available.

Most of the Komodo Dancer’s trips are from Bali to Komodo or vice-versa, but they do have an East of Flores trip that sounds interesting.

Cuteness rules! Finding Nemo in Bunaken

June 8, 2010

I’m almost finished updating and expanding the guide to Bunaken diving, which means I’m taking my last good look through all the great pictures I managed to get. I’ve already posted a few of the best pictures of the strange and rare critters found around Lembeh and Bunaken, but there are a lot of the less rare "old favorites" as well. Take, for example, this picture of a family of clown fish in their anemone. They really are cute, aren’t they?

TDEX 2010 Rescheduled

June 4, 2010

Just a short note to let you know that the TDEX 2010 event, originally scheduled for May 20 to 23 was canceled due to the political situation in Bangkok. It’s now been re-scheduled for July 8 to 11. I expect you might find some hot deals on offer to help lure people back to Thailand. I’m planning to attend, so I’ll try to update you on anything I come across that’s available to all.
