Schooling Bannerfish
Scientific name: Heniochus diphreutes
A school of Schooling Bannerfish - Photographed around Komodo, Indonesia
Schooling Bannerfish are almost identical to Longfin Bannerfish. The main difference is that the schooling variety feeds on plankton above the bottom, while the longfin variety is found rumaging among the corals on the bottom. Then of course there's the whole schooling thing.
Please note: Identification of fish, corals, etc. is a tricky business. It's entirely possible that I've incorrectly identified a photo I've taken. If you spot an error, please contact me so I can correct it and improve this resource.
