Koh Ha is a somewhat curious anomaly of a group of rock outcrops jutting up out of the ocean far away from the nearest land. "Koh Ha" literally translates to "Five Islands" and there are in fact five islets that make up the group. The islands are probably the remains of a single larger island that eroded over time.
The middle group of islands, 2, 3 and 4, form a fairly protected lagoon, which has a shallow bottom and so makes a common check-out dive site. Island 3 also has a small (tiny, even) beach where some daytrippers like to swim between dives.
There are dive sites around the entire group. As mentioned, the lagoon is popular for check-out dives as well as night dives. The northern-most island, Koh Ha Neua, is good, while the largest island, Koh Ha Yai, is probably the most spectacular.
