Three Trees - Similan Island 9

Three Trees at a Glance

Depth: 5 - 25 m

The Three Trees site lies at the northern-most point of Island 9, between Breakfast Bend and Rocky Point. It's one of the few unmapped sites of the Similans, but the landscape is more or less the same as you'll find at the sites on either side of this one. Currents can be relatively strong around the site, so this is a good place for drift diving. However, the current generally splits around this point, so check which way they're breaking before you dive in, to make sure you and the boat end up in the same general area.

There's a wide variety of marine life here, including turtles, barracuda and many types of Surgeonfish. Larger fish, such as leopard sharks and whitetip reef sharks can also be found.
